We need a logo design for a new social enterprise called InPlay. InPlay partners with schools to connect disengaged, low-income children with out-of-school programs to close the achievement gap. Currently, one in four schoolchildren do not participate in any after-school program thus contributing to the achievement gap and drop-out crisis.
InPlay offers a website with a comprehensive list of local, age-appropriate programs and planning tools so that parents can quickly search, select, and enroll in after-school or summer camp programs. So we will be marketing to after-school activity providers (e.g. music and art schools, soccer camps, robotics classes, etc.), parents, and schools.
The name, "InPlay," connotes that 1) children are engaged in fun and play, 2) they are "in the game" and competing towards a goal, 3) families are "in" the InPlay community where families, schools and providers are all sharing information and aligned in the goal to nurture children.
If it helps, here are some taglines we are considering:
1. InPlay. Because learning doesn't stop after school.
2. Engaged kids are InPlay
3. InPlay: the smart play for families.
The final design should communicate fun and excitement as well as a parents' hope for their children to feel love, safety, self-confidence and a sense of belonging. But don't make it child-like or cute. On the fly I drafted Inplay in orange using Franklin Gothic Heavy font (see attached). But I'm open to your creative ideas!!

Hi,
I just wanted to thank you for your creativity and design skills. There were many that were hard to pick between and I had circulated 10 designs around to friends to help me select--so it was tough to pick!
I have landed on one design for InPlay that captured the youthful exuberance but with a degree of professionalism.
But I wanted to thank you for participating in this design challenge.
Best,
Rod Hsiao
