Hi,
1. Is there a particular reason the place is called 'The Drop'? Is there a story behind the name?
2. Is the Drop aiming to be a 'teenage lifestyle centre' or will it identify itself more as a skatepark that has lifestyle & entertainment elements as extra elements? How much is the skatepark part of the brand itself?
3. Where do you see The Drop going 5 years from now?

Thanks for your message... Great questions by the way.... ones that needed a minute of thinking!

Well ''Drop'' as in ''drop in'' (skateboarding), ''The Drop'' as in music... (apparently its a hip/hop/rap term according to my teenage son)... Skateboarding and riding related business >80%.

The skatepark will assume the majority of the focus, however I am currently pursuing some trademarks around the venue concept and skating aspects and may brand and logo independently for future franchise purposes. So I would like the focus more towards the club/lifestyle for this project.

I see the drop as a "Kidzania" for teenagers... franchiseable, able to go with any activity sport location by adding a layer of concepts, technology, and values aimed at the benefits of adolescents.

Awesome! Thanks for the info, really cleared the path ahead for my conceptual direction.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, aside from the skatepark brand itself (which is the parent brand), what you're looking at the ability to produce multi-pronged sub-brands, something that would give you the ability to pivot your primary focus to the strongest aspect of that brand as it evolves, i.e. seeing what clicks the best amongst the many facets of your skatepark?

Scenario: Your music venue idea is really taking off, and there is demand to grow it, you want the option to detach this sub brand and push it as a separate brand?

And if nothing I just said hit the mark, just answer with a big fat 'NO'.
