This is not a properly designed logo. I didn't realize that this was an illustration contest. A well designed logo has to follow some basic rules which in this case are simply ignored. I believe many of the designs are far more successful than the chosen one. This one will cause trouble in many cases of reproduction and technically is not easy to process.. Anyhow, the customer's always right... Good luck with it...

anastatios..I have been doing logos for 25 years,..This artwork was painstakingly done in
illustrator,.Solid vectors,.and broken down specifically for reproduction,..to suggest that
it wasnt a "properly designed logo"..means youve got some "time in the trenches" to go,..
You read the breif..listen to the customer,.and when a custromer is spending more..you do more
than give them a font and "clip art" or "fancy shiloutte" ...I studied the charactaristics of exactly
what they were looking for...and spent time with it..rather than throw something quick and
suggest everyone else is wrong because they didnt like mine..( and if they didnt choose mine
I wouldnt have limped off crying to everyone about it..better luck next time..!)

Of course my friend, what ever you say, I agree. It's been many years since i was trying to deal with ignorance. And just for the record, I don't give a shit about my suggestion wasn't chosen. I already mentioned that there are many better designs, much better even from my own, and the winning one was one of the most amateur like because I have arguments to support my claim. Of course there is no need to do that here, because I assume we all are professionals here, so there is no need for that. By the way I train graphic designers for over 15 years now and the remarks I made for your logo are one of the first lessons that my students are learning. In any case there is nothing personal about our argument and I will close it here.

anastastios..I will whole heartedly agree that there are.. yes..Fantastic designs in there,..designers on a "ZEN" level..global class..waaaayy better than me..there always is in these contests. On the other hand..on these Comment sections..we can all be "rock stars".."diplomats".."political leaders"..even TEACHERS! Between your mispelling of "Constructions"..( its Construction! ),..and dumping multiple designs on one entry. ( not really fair to the rest of the designers participating... there again as I suggested.."Read the Breif"..probably the most important thing .. They didnt ask for construction)..And of course using profanity like a high school kid,..Pretty much cant dignify credibility in "anything".. you have to say..but if you shut up...I will say it for you OK..Im sorry I won...I wish I couldnt draw and freak out the designers who cant..( take a closer look..its not an illustration,..they are solid vectors,..all hand drawn,.awwaaay from the computer..I actually picked up a pencil...ooooohhh noooooo! ) But again,.placed symmetrically into a lineal encasement.."horribly Amaturish"..I know...( I read Osprey..in the brief..did the best I could to deliver )...my bad.
