Resumen de Diseño de Logo

I need a logo for an upcoming non-profit organization called Grow. Grow is an alternative substance abuse program that seeks to empower women overcoming addiction through nutrition, exercise, and horticultural therapy. The foundation of the program is rooted in the holistic teachings of the Native American medicine wheel where the four aspects of self; physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual are balanced. The program incorporates both western and natural medicine and utilizes horticulture therapy to reconnect women to themselves and their environment.

I would like the logo to reflect the horticultural component of the program, women, and the medicine wheel if possible. I am not married to the colors of the medicine wheel (black, red, yellow, white, with a green circle in the center), I was thinking of using green, blue, yellow, brown, and a separate color for the center "self" in keeping with earth and nature. I like the idea of having a woman in either a goddess or yoga pose as the silhouette of a tree or represented by a spiral. I have some initial (very basic, just to give you an idea of what has been running though my head- I am no artist!) sketches that I am uploading but I am very open to new ideas and interpretations - that is why I am here. The final design should communicate growth, renewal, balance, safety, and hope.

The Grow Philosophy:
At Grow we believe that you must root down to rise up, that you must provide your body with with nutrients, balance, and environment that will allow you to Grow, thrive, and rediscover life on your terms, free from addiction. Everyones recipe for recovery is different. We envision Grow to be a kind of "greenhouse" rehabilitation. The Grow program teaches women to re-pot their "plant" and prepare for life outside again according to each individual's needs. We believe that every experience is valuable, even the painful ones--every plant that ever grew had to go through a whole lot of dirt to get there. Through the Grow program one learns to nurture one's self physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Through horticulture based therapy, through nurturing the plants and environment around you, one can move away from isolation and addiction and reconnect with oneself, the earth, community, life, and all the possibility and wonder this world has to offer.
