We are looking to deliver a HLT41812 Certificate IV in Pathology Summer Course Specifically aimed at current University/TAFE students studying in a health related qualification e.g. Nursing students, Medical students, Pathology students etc.

The basis around it is that our potential students will complete this shortened summer course over the Christmas, new year break 2014/2015 which will enable them to gain further skills in the health related area and they will then be able to work in the pathology field whilst still studying - instead of working a side job at McDonald's to support them.

We would like to use slogans on the flyer for engagement such as "Sick of flipping burgers?" "Are you looking to gain additional skills in a health related field" etc. anything you can come up with as the designer, is also welcomed.

Course Introduction:

This is a National Training Package and is designed to train people wishing to pursue a career in the Pathology Collection Industry.
The modules within HLT41812 Certificate IV in Pathology provide the participants with training and skills development in a range of areas including Customer Service, Pathology Collection and Techniques, Phlebotomy (blood collection), Infection Control, Occupational Health and Safety and knowledge of the disease processes associated with clients of all ages who may require Pathology Collection.

Government Funding is available for eligible students.

Method of Study:

The summer HLT41812 Certificate IV in Pathology program is run on campus at both our Blackburn and Preston training facilities. Students will attend classes two (2) days per week from 9.30am to 2.30pm. Some workbooks are required to be completed off-campus. Extensive practical experience is undertaken in the All Health Training clinical laboratories.


Course Commencement & Duration:

Course will commence late November 2014 and includes one (1) fast track week and one (1) 4 day week. Classes will conclude by the late January 2015. (Includes 2 week break over Christmas/New Year). *Subject to student numbers
