Project Deadline Extended Reason: To all designers submitting to our project. We have just been made aware that our business name has been copied/stolen by another company. We are currently going through the trademark process for this name and the company that is now using it changed their current name that they have been doing business under for 5 years to Stars & Stripes Ltd. yesterday! We are speaking with our lawyers to see what our options are and are extending the deadline of our project while we do this. We have gotten many wonderful submissions and do not want to pull out under these circumstances. Please hold off on any more submissions until we get clarification on what our legal options are with this company. If you want to check out their website to verify our claims it is : www.starsandstripesltd.com...(they just started building it) they are also doing business as www.mettlersamerica.com. We are stunned and confused that a company would do this and are working feverishly to resolve the conflict. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused any designers. It is unfortunately out of our hands and we are feeling a little helpless, as we do not want to change our name. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Hello Everyone- Thank you for being patient as we figure out our course going forward. As I stated before, an already established clothing store that sells all american made items decided to change their name from Mettlers America to Stars & Stripes Ltd. It was clearly underhanded, as our trademark has not been approved yet and because they are an established business, our legal counsel says it would be a costly court battle to pursue the name. Not to be deterred, we are changing our name and going forward with this campaign! I am excited because I have gotten some really cool designs that I think can easily be modified to the new name and I am looking forward to seeing what else you guys can come up with. I understand that Thanksgiving is this week and I will be willing to extend the deadline again to allow more submissions if we don't get enough over the holiday. I also understand that Thanksgiving has no effect on some of you outside of the States :) Once again, I sincerely apologize for this setback and thank all who have been submitting their great ideas! Please message me if you have any questions. The new name is under the brief: Old Glory Collective. We are thinking about raising the prize amount too. GOOD LUCK!!!

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I am extending the deadline one more time since we completely changed the logo name during the project and the Thanksgiving holiday was last week and we were out of town and unable to provide feedback to the designs. This will be the final extension and we will be raising the project payout too. Thanks t all those who have been submitting. We appreciate it!!

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Hello Designers- I hate to extend the deadline again but in light of our company name changing during the campaign we think it is best. We have received several logos in the past few days that are excellent but need a few small changes and now we are up against a deadline that may hinder those who are in the running. (due to time changes and work hours, etc. ) Since we received great submissions these past few days we are thinking of adding a 2nd place payout. If we receive the desired logos prior to the deadline, we will be selecting a winner early. If I could just delay the deadline by a day, I would but it only lets me do it for 5 days which is too long for the small revisions we are seeking from the top designers. I hope you all understand and I look forward to seeing the final designs soon! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your hard work and sticking with us during the name change!!

Thank you to all designers who have submitted designs and stuck with us throughout the name change issues. We have received several quality designs that are each very different from each other and unique in their concept. We have invited our friends and a few business partners to vote on their favorite and provide feedback to help us make our decision. We are still waiting to hear back on a few and anticipate picking our winner by end of the day. This has been a fun process and I hope to use DesignCrowd again when looking for graphic work. Thanks again for all of your hard work and creativity!
