Key words for this brief are luxury, contemporary, artisanal, authentically African.
I would like to create a logo which can be used online and on stationery called The Art of Africa.
I would like the design to be clean, contemporary and luxurious. Brands will include jewellery, fashionable handbags, home wares, art, hotels and food and wine. The Art of Africa will operate online and through retail.
The brand will be positioned as 'Selectively seeking and showcasing luxury, artisanal African brands designed with the best craftsmanship and founded with a social conscience'.
No obvious maps of Africa please.

I am extending this project for a few more days as I would like to narrow this down and start focusing on a specific direction.
The key things I am looking for in the design are:
- luxury, contemporary look and feel
- a logo that contains a mark - and the mark can be used to represent the brand on its own or used together with the logo - so it needs to be unique
- 'The Art of Africa' is a brand platform that will showcase jewellery, fashion, art, home wares products sourced from luxury, artisanal brands so it needs to be representative of this
What I am not looking for:
- Nothing too generic or obvious - e.g. a map of Africa
- This is not a fair trade brand so I don't want anything that resembles rustic, fair trade look and feel
