Resumen de Diseño de Logo
I need a logo for my Real Estate Advisory and Development Company called "Hartcrest". We specialize in Residential Real Estate and deal with two major clients.
The first is VERY high-end/upscale (think Newport Beach/Corona Del Mar) who use my services to prep their home and/or land for re-sale through renovation, addition, re-development and new construction. This is the Architectural Digest crowd who appreciates classic and timeless products and brands like Rolex, Sperry, Silver Oak/Opus One Winery, UBS Wealth Management, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, etc.
The second is Baby Boomers who need to be able to trust us with the re-development, updating and/or development of their current residence that will be re-sold with them actually sharing in the profits. We want them to feel comfortable, experience our integrity and feel the quality without being gaudy or ostentatious. Brands they make like or feel comfortable with are Ford, Chevy, Cadillac (the olden days), Filson, Chase, Quality Construction Companies.
Between those two groups I see/feel the logo acting like a paradox of "rugged class", "rustic quality", "simple depth", "timeless and touchable". The idea is we're clean but rugged, experienced and use the finest quality though you can wear your shoes inside, comfortable in our skin but will go out of our way to serve. Like we're up with the times but we also respect the past and manage to bring those two things together without being over the top or come off as "trying too hard".
With regards to the logo design itself, an icon within the logo may or may not be necessary as the typography may be enough if done correctly. I'd prefer a logo that can look good with 1 color when needed but the main logo should use 2 or 3 colors. I don't like busyness though "simple depth" (thoughtfulness) is important when it comes to details, especially if an icon is used (like a coat of arms, a simple whale or strong animal shape - no lions, snakes or elk please).
