Resumen de Diseño de Logo

I need a new logo for my management consultancy firm and business card design. I set up my firm over 11 years ago and now specialise in turnarounds and transformations of small to medium sized companies (up to 3000 employees).
My team and I deliver extremely fast results in challenging business situations that are people friendly. We do this by applying military philosophy (and research into life and death situations).This creates extremely robust, reliable frameworks and tools for people to get themselves out of trouble/deliver a fast transformation.

The company's full name is Accelerating Learning & Performance Ltd
We are known as ALP Partners.
Our strap line is "Deliver when it matters"

I want the design to express the speed at which we work and also that we can be trusted with a leaders or a organisation's toughest challenges as we are helping them at their most vulnerable time and they can't afford a failed delivery. I appreciate this - trustworthy and tempo - can seem contradictory at times as trustworthy is often associated with stability. How I would encourage you to see it is to imagine how you would trust the fire service, coast guard or police or surgical team - the people you would ring if you have some serious trouble you need help with. They combine speed with being trustworthy.

My book is called "Stress and Success - fast fixes for turbulent times". In it, I integrate business management with stress theory and military philosophy. This book is currently being revised. Both will be revised within the next few months but it will give you an idea.
I am open to suggestion on all aspects of the design - both logo and business cards and I will be offering feedback through the process. However, having looked at a lot of logos my current preference is for a logo that is central with text underneath.
I also have no fixed view on colours. I am not against the colours we currently use but I am open to changing them. Whatever you think communicates our brand values most effectively.
From the military philosophy aspect, you could (if you chose) draw from Eastern philosophy as the Sun Tzu's especially the adage "The greatest general wins without fighting" runs through my work.

For some we may be the last person they call - the last hope in some cases- to recover the company they dreamt of creating. Our job is to give them back the dream before it's too late.

• A striking design to express the dynamism and strength of what we do. The design also needs to show that we are different - not your usual management consultancy. We produce extraordinary results and we do it in unusual ways. For most turnarounds, the focus is financial. We focus on the people and reengaging all stakeholders and get them to sort most of the financial issues.
  Our approach is not for everyone so the design shouldn't be either. It should speak to innovators and entrepreneurs.

  Looking at the font choices I don't want script. the text has to be clear like a serif or sans serif.
