Resumen de Diseño de Logo

What I need is a complete branding. Logo, colors, maybe a font or two. I don't have any sort of branding right now, so as much branding as possible is what I am looking for.

I am in the very early stages of creating a community creative space called The Nerd Forge. It will be a co-working and creative space that offers work space, technology, and tools nerdy creatives require to build their dreams. Basically a community funded and run space for working on various projects. For example, I plan to put in a green screen room and a podcast area.

Branding wise, I would like to revolve around nerds/hipsters and forges. I am thinking a mascot of a bearded, glasses wearing nerd type with a unique blacksmith hammer of some kind. Maybe an apron with a tech flare, like a tron-type style. I am not sure though. I am always a big fan of hand-drawn artwork over digital vector stuff, but I am certainly open to whatever you come up with.

For colors, I am thinking black and orange, like lava or molten materials. Basically forge-based colors.

Here are some examples of things I like. Keep in mind that I do NOT have the rights to these images and I am not looking for a strait copy of any of these. These are just some things I found searching around and liked.

Blacksmith type logo. None of these are really the type of person I want, but the overall design is something I like. Blacksmith working on something. I also don't really want the whole poster-type background a lot of these have, with the stripes.

Logos with bearded men in them. I am a fan of beards, and I like that rustic look. However, keep in mind that any character in the logo should be more hipster like, with glasses. Huge fan of the commander Riker beard

That should be enough inspiration. Just remember that it should be a combination of these things along with your own creative twist.

Finally, despite my preferences, I will always lean towards creative, unique designs as opposed to just taking my words and slapping them on something. This is a dream project of mine, so I am going to be picky and want quality work. If you are looking for a quick project, this will probably not be a good fit for you.
