Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We are an online hardware shop called Discount Trader. We sell everything from hand tools, water pressure cleaners, power tools, garden tools, tool boxes, ladders, laser levels etc. Over 2000 different products. We are based in Melbourne Australia from a warehouse/shop. We provide customers with a large range of items, at discounted prices and everything is shipped within 24 hours with fast reliable service.

We require a new design, as our current design is grey and doesn't catch the eye. This is the link to our current website/logo http://www.discounttrader.com.au/ . As you can see the colour grey is boring and not drawing the eye. I also do "not" want the DT at the front of the logo. We have a shop front so the design has to work for this purpose and catch the eye from the road. Given we will be applying the logo to the shop front, the letters have to be large and easily visible from a distance.

I do not want any tools in the logo. It has to be something that is going to be timeless and conveys quality products at discounted prices. I want the logo to be simple and strong but also play up the fact that we are offering discounted prices as our name already suggests.

I would like the colour red to be incorporated into the design, as either the background colour or letter colour. Other colours that might work would be blue, white, but I am not limited to these colours. I think the logo should be more than one colour.

I have attached a couple of logos that I like.
