Resumen de Diseño de Logo

Being founded in the early 80s, we are the national leader in martial arts franchises with over 150 locations specializing in TaeKwonDo. We need an event/t-shirt emblem (not a corporate logo) that can be used for our upcoming main event of the year - the World Championships. The emblem will need to be "minimal/sleek" enough to be legible at a small size (for print media). It also needs to be "attractive" enough for retail apparel. The challenge will be to satisfy those 2 requirements with one design.

DESIGN NEEDS TO INCLUDE:
- the words "WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS"
- the words "TIGER-ROCK"
- the year "2015"
- the city "NASHVILLE"
- an element that represents martial arts (TaeKwonDo) such as a silhouette, a black belt, etc
- an element that represents the theme of the event which comes from the host city - NASHVILLE. Nashville is known as being Music City USA (the theme should be cleverly integrated into the design and NOT dominate it.
- only our brand colors should be used PMS 187C and straight black.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
- the logo first and foremost should feel that it is for a martial arts event
- the majority of our students range from 6-15 years in age
- traditionally, especially for shirt designs, our students like a little bit of the grunginess to the design.
- do not use any form of a tiger
- a font we like, but have struggled making it fit a design, is called "atari kids" http://www.dafont.com/atari-kids.font
- the examples provided are from actual past events and do not necessarily reflect the design quality we are after. It provides a visual of what has been done with limited creative talent. We prefer a more sleeker look than what has been done in the past.
