"Studio 27 Needs a Logo Design"

I need a Logo Design for our company. My girlfriend and I are opening a Hair salon. The company's name is going to be "Studio 27". At this time there will be no spa services. Stylist stations, a pedicure, manicure station, and waxing room up stairs. The main stylist area will be in the basement. The building is actually set up like a studio.
the 27 means when my girlfriend first started her business and it was a big accomplishment in her life.
Our company is located in the city, in South Boston, ma. United states.

We want our design to show we are both sophisticated and professional trying to lure both many of the college students and doctors and lawyers in the surrounding area.

Our final design should be of the following:
1)Distinct from other logos(especially those of other competitors).
2)Instantly recognizable
