Mine Your Own Business (MYOB) - is a provincially (Ontario) funded Youth Initiative. Helping youth aged 15-29 develop entrepreneurial skills around the rapidly developing local (Wawa, Ontario) mining sector. MYOB is a nonprofit entity providing workshops/seminars and mentorship programs to local aboriginal and non aborignal youth. Our goal is to engage/assist youth in starting up business ventures. The MYOB program has engaged area mines to determine a supply/service chain to assist local youth with "specific" oppportunities that the Mining Sector would actually buy into. While the focus is on the Mining/Exploration the MYOB program encourages all aboriginal, non-aboriginal, in school, out of school youth under the age of 30 in their quest for starting their own business!
