Logo Redesign required to bring the business up to date

We are looking to get a new logo designed for our company Locafy. We have an existing logo already on our site but we feel that it is a bit dated and are looking for something that is simpler in design with maybe less colours. This new logo will be used as a basis for rebranding the whole website which will happen after the logo is completed.

Our core business is in local area marketing for small to medium sized businesses. Our customer base ranges from local plumbers to financial planners so the logo must appeal to them from a professional manner.

We would like to maintain the current Green colour, however would want to avoid having the yellow / orange combination as it looks too busy. The design should be "flat" in nature, taking a less is more approach. As we offer local area marketing, we can incorporate something about "location" or "finding" elements to the logo design but it is not compulsory if it detracts from the "less is more" approach.
