Logo for "PALS" - General Mills' new licensing system

We need a logo design for a new online system called "PALS". Pals stands for Payments & Approvals Licensing System and will be used by General Mills and dozens of external partners to manage our licensed products - from Lucky Charms tshirts to Green Giant fresh vegetables. We chose the name PALS because it reinforces our close relationship with our licensees - we build long-term relationships built on trust, transparency and equity. The system will be used globally. General Mills' primary color palette is medium to dark blue, but designs can incorporate other colors. One image that frequently comes to mind with the word pals is two persons with arms around their shoulders (friends) - this could be one option, but other interpretations are also encouraged.
