International 3D printer manufacturer requires stylisation of a logo design

Esto es lo que hardcotton buscaba en su logo design

We are a startup 3D printer manufacturer based in Australia called hardcotton. The meaning of the name comes from a link to using a strand of cotton to create a physical object. With the printer we are using plastic or metal to create an object. The difference is that the plastic or metal whilst flexible, is hard. The logo font has been decided and is ITC Benguiat Gothic™ Std Medium with the company name is one word and all lower case.

I have two thoughts in mind for the graphic mark:

1. A graphic mark that represent the flexibility to make many shapes and objects but also reinforces strength and hardness.

OR

2. A graphic mark that relates to the company name and incorporates the name and or the product which is 3D printing.

I would like the logo to be simple, bold and clever. I have attached two links which show the direction of cleverness that I'm looking to get in the logo.
