Small artisan food manufacturer needs logo design and brandingg

I am looking for a new logo for our business. We specialise in making Maltese pastries called pastizzi. They are flaky puff pastry parcels filled with savoury and sweet fillings. Unlike our competitors we make our pastizzi by hand, this is very much an artisan product and we don't compromise on the quality of our product. I have given consideration to a picture, but the product doesn't photograph too well. Image attached for inspiration. Given the Maltese heritage we are thinking red, white and black should be our colour scheme but open to suggestions. Our flavours have a modern twist to them while the product is very traditional so merging tradition and modern is good.

Once we have a logo, we will need to port across to social media platform, invoicing etc.

Our current logo is attached, really needs to be updated.
