Hockey Team Logo - Hungry Hatchlings

Hi - We need a logo for a new hockey team called the Hungry Hatchlings. In my mind, I envision the logo containing an egg cracking open with octopus tentacles crawling out of. Inside the egg, you see the eyes/silhouette of the baby octopus. But I am open to other designs.

Generally, the design should contain some combination of the following:
(1) octopus hatching out of an egg
(2) hockey stick(s)
(3) Team name (Hungry Hatchlings or abbreviation "HH")

I would recommend designers look at NHL team logos for inspiration. I am hoping we could capture the elements I mention above, but in a way that is clean and simple (and not too busy).

In terms of colors, I'm looking for something similar to the Kraken NHL hockey team (does not have to be exact). Shades of blue with a dash of red. https://www.nhl.com/kraken/news/seattle-kraken-colors/c-317634474
