Gränchner Chüribisnacht / pumpkin festival

We need a logotype after 25 years of celebrating this pumpkin festival (not Halloween) in the town of Grenchen, Kanton Solothurn in Switzerland. Our present pumpkin symbol is a scan of a hand drawn picture, that was once graphically improved for the attached poster. This year we will not only design a logotype for the first time, but also re-do the poster. This task is to make a simple, modern and easy to use logotype that will take us through the coming 25 (?) years. It is not absolutely necessary to use the attached pumpkin. It could be an outline of a pumpkin. There should be some orange in the logotype.

We have a huge pumpkin lantern parade with 1000 children, a pumpkin handicraft and food market with 70 booths and music and dance performances throughout the evening. This event is unique in at least Switzerland and yearly visited by over 7000 people. The organizing committee are the “Chürbisgeister”, which means the pumpkin spirits (or ghosts). Leer más
