A new alcoholic beverage business with global aspirations needs a logo

Esto es lo que 180 East buscaba en su logo design

Our business is a brand new, forward thinking, fresh and exciting spirits business (design and manufacture spirit brands for global consumption) and requires a logo that will reflect the nature of the business.

It needs to be clean, easily recognisable, readable, not too corporate but conversely it cannot appear unprofessional or childlike; more contemporary and 'edgy'.

The company is called 180 East named after the 180th meridian - otherwise known as the international date line. It is on this line that a new day is born, it is the new dawn and where the sun rises. I would like to somehow incorporate this concept into the identity to imply a fresh start, new beginnings and change. Perhaps the use of lines of longitude/ latitude might work? Not essential

It is 'East' only because we anticipate selling product to the Far East but this need not necessarily be taken into account either. East can be in caps or lower case depending on how you see fit.
