Sailboat "Digger" apparel Logo

We have a J/44 Sailboat called Digger. I have attached a few pictures to give you the flavor. We race the boat offshore on the US East Coast (Marblehead to Halifax Race, Newport to Bermuda Race, etc.). I would like to create a logo that we could use on apparel, etc.

I generally favor a simple and elegant logo. I've attached some examples I found on the internet or played with on those logo creating sites. That said, I have also attached the lines drawings of the boat and the J/44 class logo in case they may be incorporated.

This boat was owned by the same man for 20+ years (Jim Bishop) and was very successful under the name "Gold Digger". The owner (who passed a few years ago) was very well known and liked in the New England Racing scene, and he is thought of as one of the benefactors of the J/44 class.
