We are a cattle company that started in 2020. It is owned by myself (65), and my partner Cy (38). We both come from a line of cattle men. Both our fathers were in the cattle business, and we grew up around it and in it. We run a cow/calf operation, Mama cows raising calves. We take the heifer calf’s we like and keep them for future utility, and we take the balance of the calves and wean them and raise them to around 800 pounds to sell to feedyards. In addition, we purchase weaned calves from other cattlemen that would prefer to sell to an individual rather than run the cattle through the public sale barns that are in our region. Cattlemen do business with people they trust, like and have a good reputation. Once proven, word gets out and it's a very tight knit group, they know who they can do business with and who they cannot do business with.
