Asian Fusion Restaurant Logo Design

HI, Im openiing a new restaurant in Auckland New Zealand called Anise, short for star anise the spice. The style of food is Asian/European fusion, and I would like the logo to reflect that.
Our clientele will be mid-upmarket so I'd like it to look quite sofisticated & smart.
I would like to try the logo with, and without the star anise included in the logo design.
I would like the base colours to be dark.
