Manakuni logo for mobile application

Manakuni will be a mobile (phone/tablet) application which helps ESL (English as a Second Language) students and travelers learn English. It will also give the application user information about a particular city (like a travel guide).

The initial target audience is Asian (Japanese/Korean/Chinese) and aged 12 - 30. They will likely already know a little English. They may know very little of American/UK culture. They are curious about the world and like to (or wish to) travel to places such as San Francisco, New York and London.

We like the concept of a "coat of arms" similar to those used for universities or family crests. The idea is to convey the concept of learning and friendly, interpersonal communication in a travel/tourist setting.

The logo concept should be friendly but not inappropriate for use in a business setting.

There should be logo concepts both with and with and without the word Manakuni incorporated.
