Pay-on-Credit business needs a logo design

We need a fun, friendly design for a company in Zimbabwe. The company has set up a facility that allows civil servants to purchase products (phones, bicycles, beds - anything really) on direct debit over a number of months through their bank. This is not a facility widely available in Zimbabwe and is a relatively new and exciting concept here. The final logo would need to be predominantly red (deep red, not fire engine). The design should position the company as approachable and not too corporate or expensive/intimidating. We are putting products within reach of people who would otherwise not have afforded them. 'Katundu' is a word that means 'luggage' or 'stuff' in the local language. We are looking for a logo with an easy-going look like amazon or skype but no link to either of these!
