Educational Management System User Interface (Google Design Concepts)

Hi,I require a 1-page design for an educational management system. The image attached shows all required elements and also their locations. I require the design to be based on google-styled interfaces using elements from: http://todc.github.io/todc-bootstrap/ & http://bootstrapzero.com/bootstrap-template/admin . Side menu's should not be too large that they hide the main content of the page.

Sorry very slight addition to the design as per new uploaded file.

I like how the elements of the google plus page are seperated with the background colour and white boxes. This could maybe work in the design as per the uploaded image?
