I like a challenge and I like the thought process that comes with solving a problem. Be it how to make web sites work or how to fix my motocross bike. I take a camera almost everywhere and take snapshots of interesting or mundane things and manipulate them in Photoshop to make 1 colour screen prints, which I hand print in my garage on some printmaking gear I bought when I first moved to New Zealand (from Bristol, England) nine years ago. I like to treat people as I would like to be treated and some good old fashioned manners and a smile are the two most important facets of a persons personality in my opinion, and neither of them cost anything to produce. I have learnt over the years that listening is more important than talking, and good input can lead to great output. When I got going in this industry when there were no pixels, just pica's and em's made of metal and embraced the Mac when it arrived. It never ceases to amaze me that you actually can learn something new every day in this trade and thank my Grandad for talking me into it when I was leaving school. I started with a quote and I'll finish with a quote from Mohammed Ali " A man who views the world at 50 the same way he did when he was 20 has wasted 30 years of his life." Cheers, Al. hide
