An illustrator is a problem solver - and using culinary images to tell a story is the way this illustrator solves Editorial, Advertising, and Cookbook Illustration problems. Gorgeous illustrations, showcasing the aesthetic charm of skillfully styled cuisine, are a natural means of achieving the "sizzle." I learned my trade at the Savannah College of Art and Design (BFA/MFA Communication Arts/Illustration). My love for all things culinary and my artistic talent have come together naturally, producing beautiful illustrations which are suitable for the Advertising, Editorial, and Cookbook Publishing Industries. Each of my illustrations begins with compositional sketches - then I prepare, style, and photograph the food myself. These photographs are used as references for my digital painting technique. Sharply contrasted focal points and effective highlighting take the viewer's eye around and through each piece. hide
