Resumen de Diseño de Logo

Pure Ground Coffee Shop & Community café is opening in a few months time in Portsmouth, UK, with a mission to serve the community by providing quality food & drink at affordable prices.

The café is being set up by Langstone Church (www.langstonechurch.com), in partnership with the local community association (Milton Village Community Association) who run the building to which our café is being added. Although it will be run by the church, it will be for everyone and nobody will be forced in any way to come to church or talk about God.

Langstone Church is an independent church, with a reputation in the area of being “the friendly church.” We want Pure Ground to be an extension of church, so that friendly feel is key. Note also the second subtle meaning of the name - 1st it's about purely ground coffee, 2nd it's about a place that is special.

The church logo (atraced below) is a possibility for inspiration, but note that a nearby community centre has a similar logo with a group of people. Our logo is designed to show that church welcomes all kinds of people and is a place for fun – both ideas that could transfer to Pure Ground.

However, the logo must clearly show that we are a coffee shop. The emphasis is on 'Coffee Shop' rather than 'Community Café' because we want to provide the high-quality atmosphere of Costa and Starbucks and not come across as 'just another café.'

The logo should clearly say 'coffee' and if it can say 'friendly' and link in with the church logo in some way as well, that would be great, but 'coffee' is the most important thing.

It must, of course, be a logo that will work on a variety of media – such as internet, paper, card and posters, so must be clearly identifiable at a range of sizes & on different backgrounds. The blue pillar in the picture below will be where the main Pure Ground sign is located on the building.
