Hi, Mike! I have received the invitation to work on your tattoo design. I have a first question for you; Would you like to keep the existing tattoo style for the entire new design? or are you looking for a more realistic style
I’d be willing to see a more realistic design over the existing tattoo if that’s possible. Ultimately, the most important thing is trying to make the existing tattoo and the Gustave Dore art look seamless. Also, feel free to be creative with the space. You can use anywhere under the arm and up over the pectoral and shoulder where I have it marked in yellow lines.
I just submitted a first draft. Let me know if you'd like to see any changes to it. On a side note, I "translated" John's Milton's Paradise Lost into modern English, and worked in a lot of Doré's work into it. I simply love Gustave Doré's work. Love the idea of your tattoo. Good luck finding an awesome design.
Hello. You re -returned the task. I saw the previous designs and the drawing that won, there were many extra details and it was "raw". What are the other reasons for the return? So as not to repeat the mistakes.
Hello, I think your design was close because you merged elements of the different pieces of art. The feedback I can offer is that the scale seemed to be off a bit. If there is a way of addressing scale so it more accurately aligns to the existing tattoo, then that’d help.
Also, if there is a way of covering up the flames at the bottom of the existing tattoo with cloud, rocks, etc. like elements of the Gustave Dore art, that would help the two blend.
Hi, the project is still open if you want to submit. Thanks.
Yes, it is possible, but for better proportions I will have to reduce the number of characters. If I leave the number of characters larger in size, then the drawing may be oversaturated with details, and the new design should be similar in style to the existing tattoo. I'll check out the options and get on with it!
Thanks!
One more question. Do you want to make your tattoo a little more realistic? There are places that can be improved a little without removing the tattoo.
