Music moves us.
Music unites us.
Music inspires us.

Spotify invites artists and designers to submit artwork that best captures how music makes people feel and brings them together.

Submissions must capture one or all of:
- people connecting through music at a festival
- people using music to express love, celebration etc.
- music that reminds people of their first dance or first kiss
- The feeling of listening to music with friends, families, loved ones
- How music unites people from all cultures and backgrounds
- How music moves us
- A vision of what you hear and feel when listening to a song
- Communicating something when words are not enough

Remember to think about Spotify's audience:

• 18-24 year-olds for whom music plays an important role in developing their identity, navigating life, and connecting with people around them.

The goal of the winning submissions is to use them across Spotify's channels, to inspire their audience to create and share music playlists and use the many features of the platform. They will also be showcased as part of an official Spotify event.

Be sure to include a description with your submission and share the Spotify song or playlist that inspired it.

Please feel free to watch these short clips for inspiration and a better understanding of the brief:

Hello artists and designers- please do not include the hashtag or logo to you artworks. This can be added to the selected artwork once the winner has been selected. Spotify are only interested in seeing your beautiful creations at this stage.

You are welcome to include text in your imagery but there has been no specific request from Spotify to see text on your artworks.

Hello!

I am willing to participate, because music has been an obsession for me, along drawing, since I was 3 years old.

There is just a Tiiiiiny problem: Spotify is not available in Romania. Can I still participate? I won't be able to share songs or playlists from Spotify though, but I don't think that is such a big problem.

Please let me know!

Thank You,

Robert

Hi Robert- you can certainly still participate- this project is open globally. You do not need to share playlist to submit work. As long as you understand what Spotify is and the message that they want to represent through your designs then please do participate!

Hi Sam
What should be the size?

por Propietario del proyecto el jueves, 8 de mayo de 2014

Artists should retain their original artwork files (in 300dpi) but designs must be submitted in JPEG or PNG, max size 5MB.

Hi there!
First of all can I just say thank you for bringing such a wonderful creative brief to the table! I would like to just clarify what the artwork needs to be e.g. a landscape poster, portrait banner, square... Or were you just after a concept at this stage? Also, can it be a series of images or did you want just one image?

I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you again for such a wonderful, open and creative brief!

Artwork can be portrait or landscape. Glad you like the brief- head over to Talenthouse- plenty more where this brief came from!

Thanks for the speedy response. So just to clarify, roughly A4 dimensions? Or just completely open? And 1 single image or a series?

I will definitely take a look!

You can only be selected for one piece of artwork but you are entitled to upload more designs via DesignCrowd. If you upload a portfolio of work via Talenthouse, the judging panel may take these into consideration too.

The dimensions of your work are not important as long as the file is in 300dpi - designs must be submitted in JPEG or PNG, max size 5MB.
